Caught up on the first 4 episodes
It's not as terrible as I thought it would be - though the endless amounts of ammo they all now have after 7 seasons of every bullet being precious and the amount of supposed importance put on eugenes recipe for bullets in the last couple off-season is just stupid. As is the odd music.
There are other random irritating bits - like how terrible the guy with glasses who captures Ezekiel is, a proper black movie joke actor/part; or the guy apparently from season one who no one surely remembers; or how easy it is formanfew walkers tomtaje down a huge animal when, if it suits the plot, one person can battle through a large group unscathed if they move quickly
But it's probably also not so bad because negan has barely been in it

I hope they get them right, as it should be pretty cool.
An excellent episode tonight, can't wait for the mid season finale, keep your eyes peeled for deaths.

They definitely are not sticking to the comics , there will be a major death at the halfway stage, which links to what one of the flashback scenes in the first episode alluded too. It is not a death that appears in the comics.
One of those flashback scenes was real, one wasn’t.
I think the last episode was the best of the series.
The next bad guys are seriously more menacing, and I think they have realised Negan doesn’t work on TV, largely owing to the lack of swearing allowed.

as I alluded to earlier, Morgan wanting to kill all the hostages last week, and Daryl killing those when Rick gave him that look are foreshadowing Rick not killing Negan when he gets the chance
at least that's my thoughts

If they are going to stick to the comics I believe he doesn't die for a while but is instead kept hostage by Rick without anyone else knowing.
I haven't read the comics so not sure if that's fact, also doesn't mean they are going to stick to it.

Also they seemed to very easily and quickly get the king up that slope once the tiger showed up, seems like they could of just done that straight away. seems to happen a lot when someone stays to fight off the walkers when you only need to slowly walk away from them.

Another episode with lots of "action" but nothing really happens, so far this series all they have accomplished is getting the walkers to overrun the sanctuary but you know that none of the important people inside are going to have died.
The rest is just them attacking nameless henchmen and after that machine gun they've probably lost more people than they've killed.
Daryl and Rick still being complete badasses is really the only good thing that's happened so far, and even then there is no way that the guy on the back of the truck wouldn't of killed them both with that machine gun.

It's gone from a bonafide top US show to something that resembles some kind of B rated action tv show.
It use to be about survival, togetherness and hope, now it's just different groups having a scrap, with the walkers just a distraction. If you're one that pulled the plug on this then you made the right decision. I'll probs stick with it as it's only 40 mins a week.

Haven't watched any of it yet this season, though I'll probably binge watch what I've downloaded next time the missus goes out - I find I can skim through loads of it and only pay half attention to it now as the dialogue is woeful and barely anything really happens.
